Adidas originals - nmd launch - content series

The creative team at Firstborn came up with the idea to do a docu-content series specifically for the Adidas Originals' Instagram.

We followed two photographers (one from NY and one from LA) and created five :15 Instagram Stories.

Viewers could engage with the content by swiping up and learning more about each influencer's creative process through an interactive scroll which featured photo galleries, quotes, and additional video content. At the end of the scroll, viewers could take their own photo with the chance to win either influencer's "capture collection" - 3 objects that facilitate creativity.

Ultimately, we created a docu-content series which consisted of 10 videos per influencer in addition to 2 short recap videos which lived on Adidas Originals' Instagram.

Girl Boxer (Aka Jesszilla) - short film

Jesselyn “JessZilla” Silva is serious about boxing, and at 10 years old trains seriously with dreams of becoming a professional fighter. Her father, Pedro, finds himself caught in between supporting her dream and worrying about her future in boxing.

The short film premiered on the New York Times website as a part of OpDocs Season 6.

Damon C. Scott is a well known subway and street performer, but he's also the voice of the #1 hit song "Look Right Through" (by Storm Queen, remixed by DJ Mark "MK" Kinchen).

In this short documentary, Damon shares his story and thoughts on his career.

Damon at 86th has been featured on The Atlantic, MediumDigg, NYCTV, Complex, FACT, The Frisky, Gothamist, and more.

The film has been selected as an Official Selection for the upcoming 10th Annual Atlanta International Documentary Film Festival (Atlanta Docufest) and was awarded the Spotlight Documentary Film "Platinum" Award.

Harpercollins - book trailer

I worked with HarperCollins and New York Times best selling author Soman Chainani on the trailer for the latest release in his successful School for Good and Evil franchise.

This trailer was for the handbook, which gives readers an inside look at the dress codes, school rules, and other things of that nature, we thought it would make sense to create a trailer that would show readers that they could relate to – and perhaps even fill the shoes of – the three main characters.

We wanted to use dance to help tell our story and partnered with Michael Jagger (yes, that’s his real name) to help choreograph some of the interactions. To us, this trailer was less about the books’ epic narrative and more about the franchise as a whole and the relationships with which readers have fallen in love, all while reinforcing that The School for Good and Evil has characters to whom every reader can relate.

Audible - stories that surround you - social

I worked with Firstborn to create engaging social content for Audible's #StoriesThatSurroundYou campaign.

Audible challenged their members to come up with original written pieces in response to a genre specific question. We were floored by the amount of entries and creativity we got in response to prompts such as, "When you listen to a Fantasy book from Audible, where do you imagine yourself?"

Once the contest winners had been selected, we took their original passage and tasked a well-known artist with creating an image (using the winner's photo) that made the contest winner's world come to life. We created a series of time-lapse videos so people could see how these stories came to life in addition to artist profiles, which gave them a sneak peek into the people behind the image.
