I partnered with Yellow Shoes, Disney’s creative ad agency for their theme parks and resorts to direct multiple short films for Disney’s Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge.
We cast super fans of the franchise, and documented their experience being the First in the Galaxy to experience the park. Taking into consideration the look and feel of the franchise, I directed the documentary content with the cinematic language of the films in mind. That said, I still ensured that our amazing subjects had the freedom to experience the park in order to grab their authentic reactions.
After having success with our First in the Galaxy video, Yellow Shoes reached out to create a new series that focused on the Rise of the Resistance ride. We told individual stories of fans who were #ResistanceReady and documented their experience on the ride.
First in the Galaxy launched with an exclusive BuzzFeed article to help promote the upcoming opening of the park.
